  • Thanks for hosting!

Great tournament, with a pretty decent blind structure, nice chips and no rake. And a very nice doggy!

22 from opened from mid host called from LP with clubs draw
I floooped a set jammed as shorty ~2600 with two clubs on board post flop

host called turn bricked, rivered Kc

I said I wanted to take a picture of the hand but the dealer (Vince) swept the cards
as I was getting me camera out. Guess he didn't hear me.

My bad for not bringing me GoPro!

I think most dealers would just insta scoop for the next deal as it’s a fairly generic hand.
  • Not knowing what the host had or the board texture, nor the pot size vs your 2200 vs host's stack it is hard to know. However he was no worse than a 3-1 dog and if he had 2 overs, assumed you had top pair he could have even been the favorite.
  • Host doesn't remember his hand aside from likely Ax suited. The 2600 jam on the flop was meaningless to my stack at the time. I'm guessing around 35k.
  • Side note. The host is open to constructive feedback on the tournament structure and as a whole.

3 tables was nice but one table is a little squished but not the worst I've played at. Might be on the lookout for a better foldable table for the table by the tv.

Structure worked out well to finish around 1am which is what I'm aiming for. I understand there are a few large blind jumps near the end but I don't really want to add ante or BB ante so I don't think there is much I can do about it. But open to suggestions.

And yes I like the peak cards on the main stable lol.

Buy in increase seemed to get more players so I will likely stick with that for the next one.

    Cheers.
    The host.

I just wanted a quick pic to tweet. As I blogging my poker journey.
I'd imagine a 'poker community' would encourage such an indulgence.

Guess I shoulda yelled it (jokes). But yeah the call was priced in.
I should try yelling constantly at next game. Seems to bring luck. ;)
