BC Casino poker or home games, May 7th-8th weekend

Going to be in Vancouver that weekend with nothing much to do and am hoping to play some poker. I know about the River Rock casino in Richmond but is there likely to be any other poker action within driving distance that weekend? I am interested in tourney action or low limit cash games. I know that several casinos in Vegas play a 1-3 spread game with single $1. blinds which is my favorite. Anything like that in the Vancouver area? Are there any other casino's near Vancouver? What spreads do they actually do at River Rock?

    River Rock spreads limit games from 2/4 to 20/40 just about any time, and up to 50/100 if there's enough demand (Friday and Saturday nights it's not too uncommon to see 40/80 and/or 50/100). Generally there's at least one one no-limit table with 3/6 blinds running. I've never seen a spread limit game there, nor heard of one at any of the other local casinos.

    AFAIK, the only other public cardroom in the Vancouver area that spreads 2/4 games is the Holiday Inn on Broadway. The other two casinos in Vancouver itself (Edgewater and the Mandarin) have 4/8 as their lowest limit, last I heard. I understand there's one opening in Langley this month, not sure if they'll offer anything lower than 4/8.
