  • If you are player A, I want you to turn in your membership card at the door ;)

For the record, you are player B.

    Ditto
  • Where do you find such tough NL games? ;)

I get the feeling that we can either have a bad beat story, or what's behind door number 2.

If everyone could see the hole cards, the AKs is incorrect to call on the flop, but amazingly (after AKs calls), Player A has an easy call.

In fact, player A had to have a lot of chips on the flop (nearly the full $275), and be in a near disaster spot (like having some straight draw outs counterfeited) to make calling wrong. It's even close1 to being a correct call if he knows he is up against a flopped set.

1It depends on the exact post-flop stack size of Player A.

I think you mean A has an easy call, right?

    I'll never tell!!

D'oh! The 56s is the player I meant, and kept calling him Player C by mistake. It's fixed.

I guess I couldn't keep it straight since I was still dazzled by the pre-flop action.

  • Well it's already been revealed but i figured you for player B, and i think player A had an easy call from that pot once player C also called.
  • so.... what happened??? did your Qs hold up?
  • Player C gets a king on the turn and wins the pot... ~$1200... and I reach into my wallet for more $$$!!

This was NOT meant to be a bad beat story and dont really consider it one... although player C made what I would consider a bonehead call!! I had about the best hand he could hope for, and after A calls behind him... with proper odds... he's got ~20% chance to win this pot. I was stuck about $800 at this point, but stuggled back to be only about $150 down a few hours later and left.

This game has been very "friendly" to me! (knock on wood)
