Favorite Hands

Whats your Favorite hand in Poker wiether it is 2-3 off suit or pocket rockets! Let me know im curious to see everones Favorite hands and the reason if any why it would be your favorite hand!

My favorite hand would have to be 4 - 2 suited in any suit. The reason behind this is i was playing in a home game with some friends and two of the 6 players i was playing against went all in. We were playing no limit so each chip was worth acctuall money. I had around 40$ in my stack one had ace oueen, the other had ace jack. I called the all in raise with 4-2 of spades. The flop came, belive it or not 4,2,2. I couldnt belive it. The the very next day i figured i would try it again and i hit quad 4's on the river. so i figured i would make that my hand.

  • I like the 5-7 suited when on button. Makes for good double belly buster draw....You set the trap and if you get something theres hell to pay. (on there parts)
  • 7/2 offsuit

when you hit a hand, they never see it coming.

    especially when you raise pre-flop.

but it's much stronger if it's suited :D

and i don't raise preflop with either

i only play 72s in the blinds and CO :p

That's true, I only do this against weak players. I've been learning to read people's tells lately with great success, so I tend to raise with 7/2 offsuit. This gives me a betting read on what hands the other players might have. The rest of the hand I play blind, It doesn't matter if I hit anything. Based on my reads on the flop, turn and river, i'll continue to bluff at the pot. Good thing about the hand is, if you're ever in any trouble, you don't have second thoughts of throwing the hand away. Being new at reading people has made me lose more hands than I've won doing this, but I have the most fun playing this hand. Hell, it's almost as good as faking a tell if people notice how happy I am betting into these people with 7/2 offsuit, lol.

    how come? :)
  • 77 is my lucky number

it's not a great poket pair

but if you're superstitious like me it's kinda nice to get that in the poket

    oic :D
  • I used to really love A8suited. I would play that with everything I had all the way to the river. Then, just for fun, I thought I would start tracking myself with it. Found out just how many times I went bust on it. I will still play A8s almost anywhere, but I watch the board and the other players ALOT more closely with it.
  • My favourite hand is JJ. I flopped quads with it in a $10 multi table tourney on Stars when I was up against AA, KK and QQ. I went all in after a raise and I had two others call plus the preflop raiser. I knew I was in trouble with that many callers, but I was hoping I was up against at least one or 2 AK's or AQ's (giving them less outs). Of course not I was up against the 3 worst possible hands. Before I could feel sorry for myself the flop came down JJT. Before anyone complained, the table shutdown and I was moved.... plus i was the chip leader of the tourney. I ended up 11th (won $100) when I lost with AA vs Q6 (what goes around comes around I guess).
