I know it's excuses... do people care that someone is learning and wrecks the flow of the game? It's great to have a fist to feed on at the table but not if it destroys the flow and fun of the game. I personally hate playing with people that have no clue how to play... sure I love the money but I like playing the game more!!

Look Steve, I don't think anyone from our group minds teaching people to increase the pool, we all benefit by having a bigger pool. Don't worry about the flow of the game, much worse is the people who take forever to make the simplest decision... We really don't have those. And I fold every hand but AA so even I don't take long.

Absolutely never a problem. And I don't think you would slow anything down as much as you might think.
We're not talking about a casino, it's a friendly home game... can't think of a better way to start off

Steve, this is the best way to learn and nobody cares if the game is a tiny bit slower. Next time there are mixed games try and sit next to WOOG. He will take the time to explain why you did something incorrectly or how you could do something better in a given situation. Trust me when I say he will be so incredibly sincere in trying to teach you the game without taking advantage of you.
Maybe someone can run a “smaller” cash game for people to learn where everyone understands that is the point of the game.
I'll play. Maybe we can adjust the games, to play some of the ones that were missed in the last 2 games that didn't get enough people.
Since I was originally planning on hosting all these games I'm cool with doing a rotation or dealer's choice between all the previous variants as long as everyone else agrees.

Bump for tomorrow. There will be some snacks and beverages provided.
Not to be a party pooper, but unless you are going to have 2 tables you do not want too many more. Most mixed games are awful with more than 8 players, and some pretty well make 6 the maximum number of players.

True but there's only 7 for sure coming and always the chance someone could drop out last minute. Worst case scenario dealer sits out the hand.

We'll be nice to you if you come.
Maybe you you should get a dog. Andrew has a dog and he always has a full game.
I know folded would just recommend you moving from Hamilton but I think a dog would be +EV .

The dog definitely helps... but have to say... leaving Hamilton did too
Dogs are always +EV

DJ will wear the yellow shirt if needed

Haven't you heard the saying, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything"?
Have you ever met folded?
Damn, won't be able to make it to this one - sorry trigs.
Ohhhh yes please! STAMPLER!!

Carpool Al? I'll still be your friend.
