Played the Sunday tournament at Casino Niagara yeterday.

115 runners, top 15 places paid - 11k up top

This is such a good tournament, great structure (15k starting stack, 30 minute blinds, entry is only $385)

I ended up finishing 13th for $880

    I started out well, chipping up to $30k within the first three blind levels. Then I made a bunch of 2nd best hands. Worst one was when the blinds were 150 / 300, 300 ante - I'm the big blind and defend a $700 raise from mid position and a call (24K to start the hand) from the button with 8-7s - Flop comes 8-7-K rainbow. I lead out for 1200 and get called by the original raiser, button folds. Turn is a 3, I bet 2500 and get raised to 9k and he is all in. I can't put him on a hand, other than maybe KK, and end up calling. He has K-8os for a better two pair and I'm down to less than 12k.

    After treading water for a few levels, I start to chip up, to 15k, blinds are 400 / 800, 800 ante and I get 7-7 on the button. Raised to 2k by UTG+2, 1 caller, I call and BB calls. Flop is A-4-7 two spades. UTG+2 leads out for 4k, fold to me and I shove for 13k, he calls with A-K and I am now back in the game with room to play.

    Two hands later I pick up Ad-Jd (~32k) - UTG+2 calls (70k behind), I raise to $3500, he calls, everyone else folds)
    Flop is 4d-7d-Jc - I bet 4k, he calls - turn is a Td, he checks, I bet 5k, he calls, river is the Qd and he shoves all in, I snap call with the nuts, he has the King of diamonds and I am now over 65k with 5 tables left (40 players).

    My bust out hand came with only having 10BBs left (31k), blinds are 1500 / 3000, 3000 ante - I was SB, UTG limps, button limps and I look down at T-9os - there is already over $13,000 in the pot and I'm hoping my shove gets them to fold, which they all do except the button. He has over 100k and calls the 29,500 more, almost 30% of his stack with a weak Ace.

    He has A-4s - flop is 7-J-3, still live with 10 outs - turn is a K - 3 more outs added - whiffed the river and I'm out in 13th
