Despite the crappy city, fake pizza, and lack of "real" coffee and steeped tea, I'd say it was a great time. Easily over $3k on the table tonight. Thanks to everyone for coming down!
When I moved to Hamilton, every event had this "pizza" and people went crazy for it. It tastes like old soggy tomato flavoured bread. I don't understand it.
DH is a born & raised Hamiltonian and hates the stuff too. I think it's cheaper to do a pick up special from an actual pizzeria, than to buy this cold overpriced bread.
Needless to say. I have no reason ever to return to Hamilton.
Awww..... However, I would never order Roma either, I was just being gracious to our host by eating 2 pieces...
Thanks so much for hosting Trigs, it was a blast, there were some great bluffs and moves, even by dead guy... Loved the comment by pimp re if he dies during the hand what happens to the pot? Don't ever get insulted by Cory, he actually loves Hamilton, Roma bread with Ragu sauce, non holdem games and donating... I on the other hand just love the banter and just being able to watch, play a couple of hands and make a little. Up 124BB in 7 hrs, so that's about 18BB per hr. Not too bad at all, if I was playing that 50/100 game that would be $1800. not a bad nights work. I guess I need to move up to where they respect my raises.
I would guess that Trigs and Reef were the big winners? $3K plus on the table in a .50 game.. wow!
What a great night of fun, laughter, insults and oh ya, some poker. I didn't even mind getting out drawn more than a few times. Good times, and a chance to get together with new faces and some we haven't seen in a long time.
