Geothermal systems

Looks like I will be replacing my furnace/AC this year. With the understanding of long term payback I think with the current incentives Geothermal may be a valid option for this.

Has anyone here had any experience with the installation/use of geothermal systems?
What is the mtc cycle like?
Did you notice a huge energy savings?
Are you using it to heat hot water?
Radiant or forced air?


Any information will be greatly appreciated.
