But I'll leave you and Wes to battle it out..
  • I meant RBC and td's trading platforms have been mostly down the last few days.

Ah, misunderstood, didn't affect me, in fact I didn't notice until I read about it, probably because I don't day trade. I'm buying more for the long term... I think anything internet based is going to have outages from time to time. Some of the smaller trading sites E*trade, Scottrade, etc have had outages as well.. Nature of the business..

Sounds like the TD one was more server capacity related. Likely need a good PM like me..;)

Again, off Moneysense, pretty good info on trading sites and comparative fees.

  • So that's what you meant! My bad!
  • For The Game or anyone else who wants to learn about how to plan their financial future. Very basic but good info nevertheless..

How are you enjoying your weed stocks today?

Down to levels not seen since... last week... but still rocking triple digit green numbers with % signs next to them, thanks!

The stocks that mainly took the hit on the news today are operating in the US, and right after they just rallied like crazy on the legalization in California. A due correction but maybe a decent buying opportunity. On the US side there's a lot of garbage to sort through on the OTC markets but the ones on the major exchanges are solid. I'll be trying to get more of IAN, IIPR, and MPX for sure.*

Limit orders set for the morning.. I doubt they will even fill with everyone rushing to buy this dip.

*Would get more TGIF too if I had the $.
*Don't take my word for it, research obviously.

Edit: Also - the hype is real, a lot of folks who rushed in after hearing about pot stocks at Christmas dinner just lost some $ for sure. Careful!
  • Anyone invest in any gambling stocks?

Was surprised to see Wynn resorts so hot over the past year now at $160 a share think that is to expensive to get into. Though if they get into the Japanese market first it could boom.
  • Not a casino but I bought a small number of Jackpot Digital (JP) shares a while back. They own the rights to PokerTek e-tables and are just ramping up production on version 2 (which looks amazing)

Up about 20% on the news that they increased production... Pure speculation but I could see it bumping up a bit with each new contract they lock in.
