I've liked it even before I had 2 guys going allin against me with my JJJ1010 in a cash game. Still, it's been choppy water this week. High variance, I'm not used to it.
As those who play with me know, I have many, many favourite hands. I really never met a hand I didn't like, as any hand can be played in a specific situation. My all time favourite is 42. I had to push in with it at last year's wsop and won! Another reason is that I never lose with it.*

* really, only because I've only played it once and won.
Well, certain duos come up for a number of reasons:
a) hands that were involved in what are now considered infamous tournaments/pots..such as Doyle Brunnson's 10/2 offsuit.
b) sometimes a favourite will be because of their personal history with it (ie, the biggest pot I ever won with I was holding...or the biggest bluff I ever made I was holding)
c) superstition
d) hand names. Sometimes people will pick a hand like J-K offsuit just so they can say that their favourite hand is "the bachelor"
and the one tat has a special place in my heart right now is J8 Clubs (not for tourney play but at the friendly game I play once a week I have hit trips 3 times with that exact hand in 4 weeks, lol I think my buddies are senting me up but they claim they are not.)
Okay this is a weird one but 82. I beat a guy three times in one night with these cards. Each time I rivered him. So now whenever I play this guy I raise these cards to keep laying it on him.
for some odd reason I like Q5 suited, one tourney I couldn't lose with that kept hitting trip 5's, I try to limit myself from playin it all the time but if im feelin it im gonna play it, then u can get alot of chips outta ppl

the winning hand
unless your name is mahoney
6 out of the last 7 or 8 times I have had it, I have caught a set on the flop.............
DrTyore, Itsame and I have saying
"What's a great hand?"
" 7 8's a great hand!!!"
So, I totally agree. It can be a great drawing hand, and 7 7 :diamond: 7 :club: 8 8 :diamond: is a pretty full house.
Just my humble opinion.

e) A combo (or none of) the above.
I like 22.
As for your question it's an illusion. Given enough hands each combination appears the exact amount of times it should.
Me, I hate Ace, 9
Pocket Jacks. One of the most difficult hands to play across all forms of holdem.
