WSOP 2016/2017 Circuit

I noticed the schedule came out last week and in the article it stated 11 international stops with 8 or so announced.

Wondering if anyone has read or heard if Canada has 1 of those 3 unannounced stops

Comments

  • There will be up to 14 international stops, including the six for 2016 below.

September 8-20: CASINO CAMPIONE Campione, Italy
September 29 – October 9: SPIELBANK BERLIN, Berlin, Germany
October 27 – November 14: KING’S CASINO, Rozvadov, Czech Republic
November 3-16: SONESTA MAHO BEACH RESORT & CASINO, St Maarten, Caribbean
November 11-27: CERCLE CLICHY MONTMARTRE, Paris, France
December 2-11: ENJOY CONRAD PUNTA DEL ESTE, Punta del Este, Uruguay.

I predict that Quebec will be one of the other eight to be announced for 2017. If any of my friends are interested in going to any international poker festival with no tax (and ideally a Seniors Event), please let me know. After three of us went to WSOP Tbilisi this year and announced "Shuffle up and deal" in the Main Event there, DirtArse wants to fly somewhere again, possibly Montenegro, Morocco or Germany above.
  • I've heard that other than Dusk til Dawn, King's Casino in Rozvadov is the closest thing to a place like Playground in Europe. In other words - I've heard good things.
  • WSOP Brazil has just been announced after WSOP Berlin, which DirtArse and I are going to at the end of this month. Unfortunately, Brazil has 15% tax for foreign players, which makes it almost as bad as the US to buy into a tournament.

If we don't win a satellite into the Berlin €3,300 High Roller or don't have a chance at the WSOP Global Championship leaderboard, we'll do more sightseeing, such as Oktoberfest, Holocaust Memorial, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, and the world's largest chocolate shop/restaurant, Rausch Schokoladenhaus. The WSOP expects to add six to ten more international stops for the 2017 portion of the season, which will hopefully include Canada.
