Getting Rid of Rogers.com email address

We are finally ready to get rid of our Rogers service and move to another provider. The biggest issue for us has been getting rid of our rogers.com email addresses. I was told there is a way to have your rogers.com email forwarded indefinitely to a gmail.com, etc. mail account even after you leave the Rogers family and no longer have internet services with them.

Can someone explain and confirm that this process is possible. Cheers.

    No personal experience with Rogers but I know Bell and Cogeco have a service where you can keep your email account with them for $10. per month I think it is. Gives you time to notify all your contacts of your email change.
