  • After not running well in the first two WSOP circuit events I was looking forward to playing today again and hopeful that there was still some run good left in the tank.
Today there were 214 players in the $365 event. The final table for yesterday's $365 event started at 2pm and included Mike Leah who had late registered after flying back from the Tournament of Champions in Florida. He outlasted all of the other players to win the event and his 3rd ring and 12k plus.
I had a couple of fish at my table to start the day and manages to get a few chips from before they donated them to other players at the table. I took a hit to my stack around level 5 and was down to about half my starting stack. Going into the first break I had around 6k. After the break I managed to double up twice in quick succession with 99 > A 10 and QQ's when a guy bluffed all in after a flop of 9 8 4. By the 2nd break I was above average. There was less limping going on at my table and many of the pots were heavily contested. I went card dead for the remainder until we broke for dinner. I only had about 15bbs. Dinner was good and we got going again with 52 players remaining. I managed to run my stack to almost 30bbs. The structure is decent and the levels increased from 30mins to 40 mins after the dinner break. But the antes begun to take their toll on stacks. The last hand I played I was around 10bbs deep and I open shoved with my pocket 4's. Everyone folded around to the big blind who called with his RD. An R on the flop and I was headed for the door. All in all, I was happy with the way I played. I didn't get a lot going but I ran fairly deep in the tournament. The first two bullets were disappointing to say the least. The BAP will continue next week for the $365 Monster Stack on Monday. I am going to move over to the playground poker room for the weekend. I have taken pictures of all my entry stubs and will post them on the forum when I get back home. I can't upload them via my phone (at least I don't see the option to do that on the mobile site). Looking forward to seeing some more forum members here next week as well as some OPTers. We have a few more guests coming to the Airbnb house this weekend. Thanks for the support!

Edit: I forgot to mention I had two time WSOP bracelet winner Andre Boyer seated on my right. Nice gentleman he was..
  • May I know how many got paid in this event?

Yes, tournament today paid 24 spots and there was over 16k up top. Thanks!
  • I played Day 1c of the Spring Championship at Playground yesterday and I am on to Day 2 with $111k.

Event 3 - Day 1c | Playground Poker Spring Classic

Day 2 conflicts with my planned BAP event on Monday. I will continue the BAP on Tuesday now. Another $365 event at Casino Montreal.

More forum members are rolling into town...UBetIFold and MickeyHoldem. I have also run into a lot of other guys I know from Brantford and Fallsview. I expect by the end of this week there will be a caravan of us here in Montreal.
  • Good afternoon BAPers

I'm back at Casino Montreal to take another shot at a WSOPc $365 tournament. 3 more bullets. Two here (today and tomorrow WSOPc's) And then I'm not sure. I will have to check the schedule. I will post updates here during breaks.

  • Bust

Took some hits as I got moved twice in less than half hour and shoved after I PF raised and got two callers. Board was paired I got it in with A high. He called with nothing but his nothing hit the turn.

    Tomorrow is another day....
  • I thought I posted this earlier but I must have not clicked the submit button.

Anyways, played yesterday in another $365 WSOPc ring event. There were 104 runners including some of the guys and gals from OPT whom rolled into town the day before. I finished 15th....3 spots from the monies. Congrats to blondefish for his 5th place finish and outlasting Jonathan Duhamal at the final table.

My plan today for the last part of the BAP is to play the 20 seat guarranty satellite at playground tonite. If I win a main event seat I will sell it for as much as we can get.
  • Sounds good to me. Do you have any interest in playing the main if you ship a seat rather then selling it?
  • Yeah I would consider it...but I really would like to return some monies back to the investors. There were a few tournaments over the series that I ran so bad. I didn't make any draws and my good hands were getting run down. Had two decent runs but was short of the monies. It sucks beans....

If you salty to the main I don't mind if you play it. Feel free to ask other bapers.

I agree.... you can play it if you win a seat.

    Good luck
  • Played the main event satellite yesterday at playground. There were 356 runners or thereabouts and 35 $3500 seats up for grabs. I was playing well and was sitting on just below average stack at around 100k during the very late stages of the tournament. The very first hand I played after a table re-assignment I was in the bb. A guy utg + 1 limped It got folded around to me. I looked down at K 10 and checked. The flop was K J 10. I checked and he proceeded to bet the pot. I announced all in for my remaining 8.5 bbs. (Avg stack was only around 12bbs). He insta calls and rolls over K J. He whoops when he sees my cards as the rest of the table let out a sigh. I'm done in 67th. im heading home today after a somewhat disappointing trip. Thanks for the support and good luck to all the forum runners still in Montreal.
  • set up hand, can't do much about those. Better luck next time.
