WPT Fallsview Poker Classic

(i thought there was already a thread for this but i couldn't find it).

so this series is running feb. 16th-24th and as usual i cannot play any of it as all the tournaments fall at least partially on a weekday. however, i think i will head down and play some cash games just to set foot in a casino again (after all, if i only play home games i'm not really considered a worthy poker player i've heard lately).

i've got some questions though:

1) what is the rake at fallsview? is different from casino niagara, right? something like an hourly fee? how much?
2) does fallsview have a bad beat jackpot? are all tables part of it or only designated tables?
3) can i call ahead and put my name on the cash game list before getting a player's card?
4) anything else different about fallsview that i should know?

thanks.

    1) fallsview has no rake, rather it's a $7 per half hour session fee
    2) the BBJ is separate from the Niagara one and only tables in the poker room are eligible. Cash games in the tournament area are not, but are also not raked the $1 per hand for the BBJ.
    3) you can call ahead and don't even need a players card to play, but it does get you free parking so it's worh getting one. They may not take call-ins durning the WPT as they may not be able to handle the volume.
    4) smallest game at fallsview is $2/$5 which will likely only be in the tournament area during the WPT and not BBJ eligible.

  • Call-in ban started today. In person only until end of the series. Hope u like waiting. I'd recommend showing up around 4 or 5 am for shortest wait times, or get someone you know who's here in the casino to sign you up before you leave.
