So, After dinner I sat down at a 2-5 table while waiting for a 5-10 seat. I played between 90 mins and 2 hours. Sat down with $ 500 and in the first hour I was sitting around $ 800. I have had pocket Kings twice pocket Aces twice and pocket Queens once in roughly 90 mins.
I am now sitting on just over $ 1000. the previous hand I had pocket Kings. I am on the button and look down to see 5 2 off. There are 5 callers by the time it comes back to me, I pop it to $ 35. ( yes I know I am stupid ) I get 3 callers and say out loud " you guys never respect my raises and I just showed Kings " nobody said anything just looked at me like I was dopey.
Flop comes 3s2h2s..... hmmmmm I kinda hit the board a little...... weeeeeeeeeee
I bet 50 and get ..... yup 3 callers WTF ?????
turn is a Jack of clubs , nice brick.
Under the gun bets $ 50 guy next to him bets $250 other seat folds I jam all in and get 2 callers.
I announce this is my last hand and I am leaving if I win or lose.
one stack was around $900 in total and the other guy had less than 600 before the hand started.
3 s2h 2s Jc River is 5. ding ding ding ding. It ends up I was way behind the shorter stack till the river he had 2 3 off for a flopped full house. In all the excitement I have no idea what the other guy had but they shipped me a pot worth about ............ $ 2700
Yes I got the racks out and went to the cage with $ 2860 total ... so after a nice profit $ 2000 after my tourney buy in and my $ 500 cash buyin.
Car pooled with card dead. Could not find that dirty arse or rather he could not find us after 30 mins. Note to self, no more car pools with people who don't have a cell phone.

Thanks to my bapper. Sorry no cash but I did win last forumer standing title. Had a good run in the middle section and built my stack >30k but went pretty card dead as the blinds went up. Could not find many spots to get the chips in but then with about 10bb had a guy in mp raise and I jammed ajs from the button. He had been raising a bit light and it seemed like a good spot. Turns out he had kk. Not so good maybe. I think I finished around 15th.
I played cash for a while. Ended up the meat in a irammit and buddy suck out sandwich. Interesting times. Ended up down $9 but at least I an a real poker player now. Yay me.
It was a fun day. I would play again. Rama is beatable but a hell of a drive.
Oh ya. And there was almost a fight at our table. Security and escorts to the parking lot and bans. All the good stuff. Did I mention they deal excitement? Sorry no forumers involved as much as you would all like to see that.

Just wondering if my buddy "joe" in the cowboy hat ended up winning the tourney ?? When i left inthink they were starting the final table.
We both know that he was the best player in the final table, but I think he finished 4th or 5th. Two of the final 8 ITM came from my original "death" table, where the lady beside me won the Powerball-style draw for a U$2,500 HPO voucher (1 of 3) + $500 cash :cool: ; it had by far the most early eliminations as she and the eventual winner ran hot and became the chipleaders. It didn't finish until ~10:30 pm, so 9.5 hours of play is not bad for a $285+$15 80-player tournament.
After you told me at the forumers' cash game table to watch your HUGE racks that you'll be taking to the cashier, she told me that she wanted to rub you for good luck. Touching you for luck worked for me as I got my two-outer after I was behind in an all-in. After she couldn't stand any more "Unbelievable!" and "FU trigs" shouting from our table, she said goodnight. I could get her number for you on February 22, but I thought she was heading to your Presidential Suite to rub the $2,860 on your titties. :wink2:
