creepy ass robotic card dealers

apparently this is a real thing and they may be coming to US casinos soon. i don't know about you, but this thing looks creepy as shit to me.

  • Not that it wouldn't catch on with customers. I just don't think it will work well enough. At least not for something like poker. Too much going on at the table to get rid of filthy humans. Cards flying. Changing out chips. Splitting pots. Is it April 1st already? Come on!
  • Unless the robot will look like the one in "Ex Machina" and will have the AI to interact like live dealers trained to entertain, it won't be popular with gamblers.

    Just like the PokerTek electronic tables that are great in dealing more hands and excellent for tournaments, :h: many gamblers will stoopidly think that the robot is "rigged" against them and stop playing.
