OAPL 2016 Fallsview $1,100 satellite Sunday December 6th. 1pm!

Summary: play a legal rake-free satellite and bring at least one canned good on Sunday 1 pm, December 6 for a chance to win $1,100.

The World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic $1,100 event will be on February 16-19, 2016, with an estimated prize pool of close to $1 million. *We will have a legal, rake-free satellite on Sunday 1 pm, December 6, 2015. *There will be two $1,100 prizes with the buy-in as $2,200 divided by the number of players, e.g., if there are at least ten players, the buy-in will only be $220.*

We will also support the annual*Restock the Shelves*charity initiative. *Players simply bring at least one non-perishable food item each*and they will be delivered to the chosen charity of the*Salvation Army*food bank.*

Rake-free buy-in: $220; for ten players, top 2

Starting chips: 5000 + charity option = 10,000 chips.

Charity option: at least ONE canned good (or non-perishable food item)*to be donated to the designated charity*for double the starting chips (10K total).

Location: Waterdown near Hamilton. *Address and directions will be sent later by host.*

Structure: In order to give players the best chance of cashing in the WPT*FPC target event, the*same blind structure*and starting chips will be used.

In order for the RFS not to last the same four days of the actual event, 25-minute blinds will be used. *TDA Rules*as used by the WPT, WSOP, EPT will be in effect. *One exception is that Fallsview uses the first-card-off-the-deck rule instead of TDA's last card, so "A player must be at his seat when the FIRST card is dealt on the initial deal or he will have a dead hand."

Two decks will be used to maximize the number*of hands; if you do not want to deal, you can request somebody else to shuffle and deal for you.*

While the Fallsview satellites have starting chips as low as 1500 and rake as high as 12%,*you will get 10,000 starting chips by bringing one canned good.

There will be a minimum of 5 players to run this. *The goal is to have at least ten players and final two players win $1,100 each, with third place getting the remaining cash (<= $1100). *Winners can play the event, sell action, or keep the cash.

  • chaimruven and I wish to thank Irunit4times for joining the Restock The Shelves charity initiative to help restock the shelves of local food banks by playing in tournaments in their favorite poker rooms. Thanks to the forum members who participated in the three events earlier this year.

Thanks to PartyPoker, all participants received a prize in the event that benefited the Salvation Army Oakville. Tim Silman, representing Team Ante Up, won the event and a $1,100 seat in a World Poker Tour Fallsview event...

We'll see you at Ontario Aces Poker League.
  • Count me in please and thanks!
  • We have already reached 10 players, but that is never a guarantee! Anyone else interested in playing, over 10 will be a 3rd place prize and if we can get to 15 we can give 3 seats away, all with no equity and no rake. This time this event will be a bring your on drinks, food, snacks, booze etc. Nothing will be provided unless players choose to order food during the tournament.
  • Just a reminder to all players signed up for this event, this is a re-stock the shelves tournament and as such you are asked to bring a few canned goods or non perishable food items to be donated to the salvation army. By doing so you will recieve the double stack option and start with a 10k starting stack opposed to a 5k stack for those who do not bring anything.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing players on Sunday.
  • Chaim finally got you! Lolz
