new a new wifi router

Modem works fine but linksys router has all the lights blinking rapidly. Since I recently had to replace the power supply on my desktop due to a brown out, I guess this is related. I tried all the reset info I could find on the internet so I guess the thing is bricked.

So I need a recommendation of a replacement router.

I would suggest a UPS if you're having brownouts.



Look for an 802.11ac router. Don't buy a wireless that isn't ac.

Agree with this, however be aware you will only gain real advantages with compatible devices.

the only reason i'm apprehensive about getting an AC router is that it might not work with my oldish cell phones and tablets.

In case anyone else is having wifi problems today, my ASUS router jammed late last night. Still wasn't working well this morning.

Updated the firmware and all is good.
