Rules and Qualifications
2015-2016 Season Championship Free-Roll
and the Best of the Rest Free-Roll Events
YRPL will again be sponsoring two free-roll events, both to be played on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 7 PM.
There will be no minimum number of events required. The only qualification will be points earned.
Points will be based on each player’s best 14 of 15 qualifying events.
The Championship Free-Roll Event, Qualification: the top 20 players in points.
The Best of the Rest Free-Roll Event, Qualification: the top 80 players in points (21st to 80th).
The YRPL Championship and Best of the Rest Free-Roll Events will be 100% funded by the re-buys of the 15 qualifying events. As a free-roll, there are no monies taken from the entry fees of the qualifying events nor is there an entry fee.
Qualifying Events: This will be a 15 event qualifying series played on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month, starting Friday, September 11, 2015 and ending on Friday, April 22, 2016. There will be no game on December 25, 2015.
Each qualifying event will be a standalone tournament with 100% of all entries paid out in the nightly prize pool.Each qualifying event will have earned points towards the YRPL Championship and Best of the Rest Free-Roll Events.
Prize Pool Breakdown: (Estimated only, based on the last season and will be adjusted accordingly, based on available funds.)
- 65% of the available funds will be used for The YRPL Championship Event: 1st place 5,000.00, 2nd 4,000.00, 3rd 3,000.00,
4th 2,000.00, 5th 1,000.00, 6th 800.00, 7th 700.00, 8th 600.00, 9th 500.00, 10th 400.00, 11th to 20th 200.00 each.
- 25% of the available funds will be used for The Best of the Rest Free-Roll Event: 1st place 2,000.00, 2nd 1,500.00, 3rd 1,000.00, 4th 800.00, 5th 700.00, 6th 600.00, 7th 500.00, 8th 400.00, 9th 300.00, 10th 200.00. 11th to 20th $100 each.
- 10% of the available funds will be used for event costs e.g. 3 dealers, event options ($25.00 x 80 = $2,000.00), etc.
Points: during the 15 qualifying events, points will be earned as follows:
- Final standings will be based on each player’s best 14 of 15 qualifying events;
- 50 points for registering online at least 3 hours prior (4pm) to any qualifying event;
- 25 points for attending any qualifying event;
- 25 points for taking the option at any qualifying event;
- 5 points per bounty chip won, (Any player found to be giving away bounty chips or accepting them will be disqualified);
- Bonus points will be awarded for your finish in each qualifying event as follows: 50th to 41st place - 20 points;40th to 31st place - plus 20 points; 30th to 21th place - plus 20 points; (20th to 11th place - plus 20 points;10th to 1st place - plus 20 points.
- Money - 10 points will be awarded for every $100.00 won. (Note: chopping prize money also chops the points).
A tiebreaker, if required, will be used to determine any points place, based on “Bonus Points” as above, this will reward the most consistent player. If necessary, bounty points will be the next tiebreaker.
It will be the responsibility of each player when busted in each event to immediately report their finish position in the top 50. Failure to report immediately may result in zero bonus points.
Starting Stacks: The Championship will have 400,000 chips in play, divided between the 20 qualified players based on earned points, starting stacks will be rounded up to the nearest 100 in chips.
Players will be seeded per table, seating at each table will be random.
The Best of the Rest Free-Roll Event will have starting stacks based on earned points per bracket as follows - (21st - 26th 20,000), (27th – 32nd 19,000), (33rd - 38th 18,000), (39th – 44th 17,000), (45th - 50th 16,000), (51st - 56th 15,000), (57th – 62nd 14,000), (63rd - 68th 13,000), (69th – 74th 12,000), (75th - 80th 11,000).
Players will be seeded one per table per bracket, seating at each table will be random.
YRPL reserves the right to make any necessary changes as required.
