2015 Poker / Life Goals
Have some different ideas for this coming year, I'll post in a couple of days.
Will start the thread now though so people can start thinking about it.

Life: Have fun
Life . . . I want to start walking more. I think if I can stick to it, it will help me physically.
Life Goals - I am taking my disposable income from not playing poker and invest in winning the Fatboy Challenge.

Also learn to use poker terminology correctly.
I've adjusted my goals accordingly.
1.) Profit and Volume: Setting different goals for online and live this year:
Online: 40k (3000 tourneys)
Live: 30k (100 tourneys)
Total: 70k
2.) Live Events:
Play at least 2 WSOP events
Play at least 8 VDSE (or similar Vegas tourneys)
Play one foreign event (EPT, WPT, LAPT, etc)
3.) 5 Digit Cash:
One online
One Live
4.) Chat Ban: Avoid chat ban on Stars (and overall tiltiness)
5.) Win a bracelet, ring, something other than a daily at Yellowhead
6.) Final table a major online tourney
Pfft . . . he's had worse done to him.
Life": Take up meditation
I only have time to play once or twice a week so wont be putting in much volume.
2. Stop having a "blow-up" moment in a session
3. Stop making Kenny Tran hero calls because someone takes a weird line that doesn't make sense
4. Pot control post flop with any high pocket pair
While I didn't post my 2015 goals in this forum, I will look at my failures to try to do better in 2016.
1) I've been considering cutting back in poker for a couple of years now, but I was tempted by online promotions and travelling to fun events. I ended up playing more in 2015 than the previous year, so I failed in this goal.
2) I had fewer cashes in local MTTs, especially at Casino Rama. I still had deep runs, but while this would continue on to a bunch of first place wins (or chops) in 2014, it didn't happen this year. For example, I failed in my goal to win a U$2,500 HPO ME entry from Rama. My back-to-back GBH KOC saved me from a losing year in local MTTs.
3) I didn't make money for those who had a small piece (<= 1%) of me in live events. My sole WSOP event did result in my biggest cash since 2009 (year when I switched to online), but I only had one investor who has 5% in all my $1K+ tournaments.
4) I still haven't found a poker study group that wants to keep getting better together. While the top live pros I've had the pleasure of meeting are out of my league, the regs I see don't seem interested in regular strategy discussions or are not familiar with math analysis such as US tournaments being -EV, Nash Equilibrium, ICM and EV calculations. For example, the player I had talked the most strategy with stopped when he decided to quit his job, move and try to be a pro playing MTTs and 1/2 cash.
