  • I think the most common method used by home game builders is air-brush do a search here , for a more comprehensive discussion of options

  • Airbrushing is the way to go - My table logo is getting put on this week. the guy putting it on for me is talking about about special air brush paint so the cards will slide the best. I will try to get you all the info. sometimes next week on the paint, how to do it etc.
  • I thought about doing a logo, but instead I bought some suited poker speed cloth:

  • I had a friend design the logo and then used iron-on pastel markers. It turned out OK, but faded quite rapidly. I'll do the airbrushing next time I re-cover the table.
  • Hey DJW - I got the same cloth and am still putting a logo on it. I will post a picture when done.

Sweet! I'd be pretty interested in how you think it transfered onto the cloth once you are done. Keep me updated!
  • Does anyone know of an air brush artist for the logo in the Toronto area? I seen Mark Junnels and it looks great. Just wondering if for 50 or so I could get it done here?
  • I have been searching for a durable good looking logo for some time now. I originally had 2 large vinyl decals adhered to to the centre of my table but they started to peel away so I added more adhesive which only made things worse as I then created a permanent stain on the table. Also the cards and chips would get caught on or under the edge.
I finally found iron on fabric sheets that I could print off my home computer. These are much more durable than the regular transfers. You can find them at the office depot for around $18 for sheets of 3/4. The only draw back is that they only come in size 8x11". I needed to cover up my goop stains which was larger so I connected 4 logos.
If you go this route you have to be VERY carefull not to scorch your fabric. I have faux suede which is sensitive to iron.

Thanks.. Now if I could just get motivated to build the rail...
  • With a rail it will look sweet. I have a table with a rail and a dealer cut out. Its pretty good but big and heavy. It is a 4*8 table and i used 3/4 inch plywood.
