Blue Water Classic Cancelled!!

Just got word at OLG London that the Blue Water Classic has been cancelled. The unofficial reason is lack of interest. London had not run a single satellite to this event. Not sure if Sarnia did or not.

    I cashed in the last BWC so I phoned Point Edward to buy the $1,000 entry for November 15, but the sad news has been confirmed. :'( I'm not sure why they would give up so early when it is still three months away and most players like me didn't have the summer satellites on our radar yet. Another blunder Point Edward made was increasing the buy-in by more than 50% to four figures, but there are probably not enough local players playing only 1/2 spread limit willing to risk that much.

    The consolation for me is that it frees up my schedule for November during the WPT Montreal festival. pokerJAH and I will have the RFG's shoulders to cry on. ;)
