my bad. apparently the previous bills weren't paid and carried over. it's all good.

    Holy f@&k! I would investigate that further, probably some kind of mistake.

    You can check for leaks around the gas meter using a dishsoap and water mixture just like a bbq, although I would think that even a small leak could be detected with your nose.

    Call the gas company and have them check your meter.

    How were your April-May and May-June bills?
