I need your help...please

Everyone, I need your help. I am struggling with this aspect of my game and I wanted to get some input.

Can you envoke a response from another player? or is this over the line and you should only watch what the other player does to your betting or non betting action.

For example; A player goes all in and you think they are somewhat weak, folded to you in MP. Your hand could take his, BUT there are two or three behind you waiting to act.

"Anyone else calling this push?" I don't expect to get a real answer as Im asking in a very non serious almost sarcastic tone, but Im looking for something from those behind me to see if I should call.

VS

Over Betting to isolate, which can cost you ALOT of chips if someone trailing has an ultra premium hand, and you have to fold to a re-raise all in.

--

Player has AA and you have QQ, he bet 4x BB before you. So now you can bet 6X BB to find out how good your hand is, and fold to a big reraise or get caught on a flop for half your stack until you find out they have higher pockets.

VS

Asking before hand quickly "Jacks? or Aces?" Which will give you a read that your probably beat or WAY ahead.

----

The reason Im asking is that I tend to see ALOT of flops. Calling small raises etc and the big hole in my game is not getting the right read, Im forcing myself to make hard decisions post flop but when I hit a flop Im breaking people.

So I need info, I need to be talking, I want to be putting others on tilt cause I just took out AA with k3. or 72 suited!

So that being said it forces me to work on the outside game rather then the cards, where I see alot of 'tight aggressive' guys strictly playing cards and trying to get better by judging future actions based on the small amount of previous hands they've seen.

Very calculating, very analytical very straight Foward.

I inherntly do not have those skills, Im very emotional, tend to make decisions in the moment, very outgoing, very creative. I hate limit for example, and am a losing limit player, but I am a successfull no limit player. (Looking the 100 - 200 session mark in no limit and probably 50-60 in limit)

(I still look at out odds and starting EV, dont get me wrong, but the essance for me is avoiding a mistake and sniffing out others mistakes)

Any advice? Am I on the wrong path? Envoking vs. reading.
Am I an angleshooter and have the wrong apporach to this game?

  • Situation 1 - Do those players not have an obligation to not act out of turn. If they answer are they now bound by that answer. I'm not a rule junkie but discussing strategy with players behind you before they act and getting that information to the detrimant of the original raiser sounds wrong to me.
I guess it depends on the tone and whether you are just joking around or seriously asking.

Situation 2 - If it's just you and the other player involved then I don't see a problem. Doesn't Mike Caro kind of do this all the time?
