So I built a PFC hand converter tool...
Was messing around today and discovered that the forum has built in card icons hidden under the "smilies" option!!! This was an excellent discovery, and since I do a bit of MS Access development at work I thought I would have a go at making a quick hand converter tool for us to use.
Basically all you need to do is copy the history from stars as you normally would, paste it into the "input" box, and hit convert..... Magically, all of your [Ac As] will become :ac :as and your donk opponent's [7s 4s] soooooooted will become :7s :4s , so we can talk about the massive suckout in high definition.
Thinking I should send it to comp for inspection before posting the actual tool (its only a few lines of code... harmless I promise!) - but here's what it looks like in its current state. It needs polishing of course, but the functionality is there.
If anyone has suggestions or thoughts let me know and I'll add them in. You need to have MS access or an access viewer to run it - but I will look into compiling it as an .exe (haven't tried that before!)
Current interface:

Not sure if its difficult or easy with the format you are working with but this: would be converted like this
4581/300 = 15.27
and outputed like this:
Not sure if its a big change (might need certain code for rounding an errors), don't stress on it tho because simply having a convertor I think is a great step for good dialog!
When I was a VIP Palladium, I could change my screen name every 30 days, but I think everything including the interface has changed since.
That must have been before my time here, I just recall a ton of TR's, every one seemed to be a chop, but no hands posted?!??!...just grinding your gears.

You won them both? Wow that's some run good... nice going.
My next task though is to see if I can build it as a web app instead - that way no one has to download a questionable .exe file.
Regarding the blinds conversion, M, etc - its definitley doable but also a bit more coding than I had bought in for... That being said I will give it a shot when I have some more dicking around time!
