34-Day Online Mission Impossible?

After my online site made it painfully clear that the VIP winning players were no longer welcome, I stopped playing online and went back to playing live in 2013. After having driven more in the past 12 months (to/from WPT Montreal/CSC/Fallsview, GBH, Rama, Point Edward, 1000 Islands) than in the previous 12 YEARS, :eek2: it's time to evaluate if I can find a happy medium between live and online.

Mission Objectives

1) Win 1-3 three satellite packages or up to six entries to a major event.

2) Grind MTTs, SNGs and cash games to clear $50-$545 bonus for up to 40% rakeback.

3) I still have a lifetime supply of tournament dollars leftover so I have to figure out the best way to start converting it, and end up with more cash and total account balance. Having more T$ by the end of the mission means I failed!

Mission Details (TLDR)

- Grind for 34 days from May 13 until June 15.

- Will have to give up some juicy live games. The Casino Rama Box Office has a nickname for me since I always pre-buy two weeks early for the next $285+$15 tournament, but for the first time ever, I did not prebuy for the next tourney on May 26. :o I also had to cancel the $150+$10 entry that I had paid for early for Mohawk. I may even have to pass up on PokerStars Canada Cup. :-\

- Still trying to find fellow winning players to discuss detailed strategies/hands and help each other improve. If I succeed in winning a package, I will need to remember to keep in contact with the online players I meet at 2+2, ARIA and other WSOP-related events - instead of just partying with the Royal Flush Girls. >:D

- My 2014 poker resolution of posting less and playing more is in effect as of this week. If sn1perb0y, lynx5 or other friend notices me posting as much as before, please berate me so I can close this tab and play instead.

- Today will a Super Sunday for me online, for the most buy-ins in one day that I have done in years. As has been my tradition since Royal Cup II and up to the return of WPT satellites in 2013, I always start a big poker goal with the following:

  • Best of luck in your grind. If you continue your run good of the not so distant past you should have all your goals accomplished by the end of the day.

What site are you putting most of your volume in at?
  • The lifetime supply of T$ I had won is with PartyPoker so I should clear that first before spending at another site.

  • 1) Win 1-3 three satellite packages ...
I won my first WPT package this week! I'll be in WPT Italy (Campione) around June 4-10 for the "Gioco Digitale WPT National 900" Main Event with ~$374,000 guaranteed prize pool. Venga con me!

+1 on this. Congrats obv but curious about hotel + travel money they're throwing in.
  • With $600 for travel and expenes, probably sell 50% of his action to cover his airfare :) Isn't that added effective rake BF?
  • Coles Notes: TLDR - just watch the video at the bottom!

I want to be more like pokerJAH and take more poker-related vacations. Since I took the cashout options of other packages I won, :'( the last poker vacation I've taken was the final WPT Celebrity Invitational held at the Commerce Casino in 2011. Instead of just tagging along with pokerJAH, this vacation has the following advantages:

    1) U$1,400 buy-in which is three times the buy-in of WPT 500, so this one is more worth travelling to.

    2) U$600 cash, plus I have a lifetime supply of T$, plus I just won the tournament at Great Blue Heron Casino (chopped), :D so my budget for European hookers & blow is almost as high as compuease's! ;)

    3) Casino Campione is the largest casino in Europe, :o so just like Commerce Casino, it should be part of a poker traveller's bucket list.

    4) Campione is inside Switzerland, but actually belongs to Italy, so I get to vacation in two countries for the price of one.

    5) Since most pros are more likely to be in the US this summer than at Campione, both the tournaments and cash games may be softer. I will also get to know all the other online qualifiers and probably share a hotel room with another online shark, so the trip will probably be +EV.

    6) As WPT Montreal/CSC package winners know, Party knows how to throw a party and treat its qualifiers like VIPs, so I look forward to the Welcome Party, swag bag and partying with the European version of the Royal Flush Girls and the GiocoDigitale.it models (see video below). >:D

I do have enough Aeroplan miles and British Airways miles for a few return trips to Italy so maybe I should tag along....or was that tagalog :)
  • Heads-up now for another WPT package...

  • I accomplished my main mission a little early. I have won two full WPT packages plus a third entry to the $1 million guaranteed WPT 500 at Aria Resort. I don't think I'll bother posting a BAP, but PM me if you're interested.

Starting on the Fourth of July holiday weekend, it will be six days of fun but +EV frenzy, with 2,000 players, the most online qualifiers this year, very complicated but BF-deciphered structures, ^-^ Royal Flush Girls and the world-renowned partypoker/WPT hospitality.

any word on this, or is it top secret?

what options do you have for the second package you won?
  • I used the "T8urmoney Manoeuvre." ;) Email sent.

For inquiring minds, you can read the terms and conditions:
"Players can only win a maximum of two full $1,700 WPT500 packages.
    If a player wins a third or more $1,700 WPT500 package, ...
    " :-\
