Ontario Aces Weekly League starting back up! Waterdown!
Hey everyone,
I have not been as active as I had wished to have been over the last year, and it is time to finally get some more regular games going.
I am now planning to host a weekly game, on the same night each week, and same buy ins each week as well. Very similar to other leagues, there will be a point system, and a final tournament of champions.
As is standard for these types of tournaments, a set amount of each weeks pots will be carried over into the final tournament to inflate the prize pool for the season champion.
The details for the season will be hammered out once I get confirmation of players interested in playing.
I am emailing everyone to see what nights of the week work best for everyone, as with all things, majority will rule, and also the buy in amount that everyone is most comfortable with, and as always majority will rule.
As this is hosted at my house, my schedule will only allow me to offer Monday, Tuesday or Thursday night games, though it may be possible to host other non league games such as satellites on weekends here and there.
I would appreciate any and all replies on this, so if you are going to reply, please list what day you would be most interested in, and your comfortable buy in range. Try using a range of 30-50 or 40-60 or 30-100 instead of just saying 75 so I can try to narrow the best buy in for the majority of the players.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you all and getting this started up again. Game are hosted in Waterdown.

I was also thinking around a 630-7 pm start. I was also thinking around the $40-50 range but again, majority rules, or until my wife sees my ban account dropping too quickly lol....
Anyone else interested in playing? I have a large basement and 3 tables that can all be used if we get enough players, and even a seperate cash game set if players who bust choose to play that as well....
As for blondefish, yes steve does have a greatgame out there, however I would like to run a fun social league again, get the attendance to be regular and then I am sure we can start with satellites as I have had some good success with those as well.
Also, a general question, as I do have a group open on meetup.com, would it be alright if I asked any and all players interested to join the group, now I will post on here when the games are going on etc, but I am hoping to have one form of rsvp as sometimes when posting on here, I have to add the meetup players, but the meetup group doesnt see this forum and how many other players are going. I would like to make one central rsvp system. Would everyone be okay with signing up for meetup to rsvp?
Thanks for the feedback.
By the way, for tournaments, it's better to use TDA Rules (used by WPT, WSOP, EPT and many casinos) instead of Robert's Rules. Best of luck with these home games.
to sign up or for more details. Hope to see everyone there!
