weird 3-bet sizing

I took a shot at the 55$ 30gtd nightly, and usually when i play a bigger buy-in tournament i assume that players are at least average and know what they are doing. I couldn't analyze his 3 bet size properly and give him a proper range.

I late reged 30min in, and played 18 hands out of now, nothing out of normal, raise a few hands and won and lost some.. starting with 3k.

sn1perb0y: ???

he raised more than 5x the initial open raise :S? he is table chip leader, is he trying to squeeze here with a marginal hand, has a premium and trying to stack it off pre-flop??

I basically either jam or fold, its early in the tournament still have 23bbs, how often am i ahead here?

  • Just jam and race. Your stack is getting short.

tapatalk puts this here to annoy YOU
  • Now you know that the skill of a player is not the same as their buy-in.
  • I didn't realize the puck called your raise. While my squeezing range will include hands as weak as 53s-75s, SkudenSynker's overbet to 1,100 represents a stronger range to me. Getting it all-in with AQ may be fine some of the time, but I think I would fold most of the time with another player behind.

  • the range is never AJ/KQ here.

Stove 99+, AK and see what you get.

He could be squeezing with A5s, 56s as well no?

The thing is the size got me to make a bad play and i was confused about it. I'll get him next time!

    Not with that sizing.
  • I think this always leans strongly towards an AK or JJ move in live poker, with AK being more likely. I always see it as...I don't know how the fuck to play this hand so I hope everyone folds right now.

I don't play online, so meh
