Has anyone played at the new Niagara Casino?

Just wondering how the poker room there is...a bunch of us are thinking of heading down there this week.

Does anyone know limits? How are the games? How many tables?

Cheers

  • 8 tables, limits are usually 4/8, 6/12, 10/20, and 20/40 on wkends also a 5/5 NL game.

Poker room is nice, comfy chairs and 4 plasma tv's
  • I would suggest staying away. The rake is higher then elsewhere and the lists there are huge. They also bump you down the list if someone staying at the hotel wants to play. Try Brantford or just across border from Niagra is Seneca.
  • I would prefer going to Rama than Niagara. Niagara doesn't like to call string betting :P

Nice chairs, but I just like the Rama atmostphere better!
  • I went the both the old Niagara and Fallsview a few days ago (Thursday) and both don't start until 12:30 which sucked because if I knew this, I would have gone to Seneca but since I had no US cash and didn't want to get ripped off the exchange rate, I waited. Decided to play at Fallsview which has higher limits just because I happened to be at that particular casino at the 12:30 time. Anyways, it was horrible. The dealers have no idea what they are doing and at least 3-4 times, pushed the chips to a losing player. There were only 3 tables and it would stay that way until 8:30 pm as there were not enough dealers according to the Pit Boss. It was very unorganized and just not a good atmosphere. Seneca kills this place. For those who like the fishies, in the 6-12 hold em, people call down to the river.
  • Played at the old Niagara Casino on Friday. They have lower limits, 2/4 and 1/2 NL 40-100 buy-in. Played seemed reasonable, certianly not a lot of fishes while I was there. (played 2/4 from 12:30 until 5). Dealers ok, not quite Vegas standards but acceptable...

You have to go during the day on the weekends, or friday/saturday nights for the fishes to come out. Had one guy call my all in (I flopped trips, rivered full) with King high. Another called my 20 bet into a 30 pot, rainbow flop with jack 2 suited (he caught runners, but you get the idea)
