For fun, I would never offer decent odds to any of you :p .. Buy-in is $40,if you win you get the $80 back for a profit of $40.
  • Edited the OP: It will be a $40 dollar buy-in.

  • I'm hoping to be too busy playing in the 3-5 tournaments on February 18-24, but I'll bring my poker briefcase in case we have time for some fun rake-free games. We might even have a heads-up game while having dinner (hopefully celebratory) at Ruth's Chris, The Keg or Outback steak houses. It's too bad we won't be in adjoining rooms at the $15/night Ramada.

I am offering to play anyone In a $30 dollar heads up game from Feb 18-22. I will play a maximum of Seven games ($210) while I'm there.

I will bring the chips and cards, games will be played in either my room at the Western or yours if you prefer.

    $30 buy-in-Rake free!!!
  • Best Western deal is close enough and it's closer. Sucks to still have to go outside though

Do you go to Outback if you lose?
  • No, but you can go over the Falls in a barrel if you wish.

Yeah I was hoping you were going to be staying at the Best Western.... Sounds good though, just let me know what night you want to go and we will arrange something.
  • No takers eh...

Probably scared most players away. Why don't you come play 2/5 at Fallsview and we can bet $40 on the colour of the flop until one player loses $200. Probably a lot easier and less time consuming than playing head's up in someone's room.
  • Or you can come fight me outside the casino? I've been training and competing for years so why not do that??

Enough with the smart remarks bud . Grow up.
  • There will be better things to do then to play cards in someone's room while you're there.

That's still not the point In my response? Yes we will be at a poker fest and there will be plenty of other things to do. But there is no need for the smart comments/trolling..

And maybe that's your opinion? I have had a couple people PM me and say they would be up for a game or two, EVEN with all the other things they could be doing. Plus I don't go into other peoples threads and post pointless shit. If your not interested then ignore it.

And the fact that you would take his side is ridiculous? I have seen him post comments like that in other peoples threads and you seem to encourage it lol.

There is a reason why a lot of former regulars don't visit this forum anymore and this is the reason why.

Do not mistake my post and correlate it with his. I'm stating my opinion and just because it came after his has nothing to do with it
  • Alright that's fine then, I retract the later part of my post then.

No that is not the reason.

I'm pretty sure JAH was serious about the side bets. He likes to get his gamble on. You know I once played him OFC for a hundred a point?

The street fight idea sounds kind of cool though.

For a lot of them it is, I know a few people who use to frequent this forum but stopped due to the dumb posts by some fellow users.
  • That is only part of the reason. Ask wetts.

  • I expect to be crazy busy, but if there's downtime, I'm up for a fun heads-up game at BW/Ramada or restaurant.

  • Colin, problem is that the cash games for that week can be so big, juicey and profitable that taking time out for a heads up battle doesn't make sence.

I agree heads up would be fun but that one week can be 3 or 4 months salary if you play well and have a little luck.

I will be there this Saturday if anyone wants to grab a drink or dinner.

Yeah totally understandable man! I was just putting it out there as an offer incase someone had some spare time in between games or something!

Lol my response to Jah was a little much, it was getting a little hectic at work today and I seen his reply in the midst of it haha.

Got a job interview at a school down there on Friday 7th. If I get the job I will have to move down there so this maybe doable after all.

Just ignore everyone else, can't please everyone. This sounds like I fun idea. If it works out for me to be down there and no one else has taken you up on the idea, maybe we play the ten matches for the entire 400 pot. First one to 6 games won takes the pot.

  • Sorry if you mistook my remarks as being sarcastic. As noted, with all the juicy 2/5, 5/10++ cash games taking place during this series, I wouldn't expect most players would want to play heads up for $40. There is a lot more money to be won at Fallsview. Although, you wouldn't have to wait 3 hours to get a game started.

btw pkrfce9, when I am going to get my $30k for the OFCP session??

No big deal man! I was at work and a little pissed off before I even read it, and that's why I reacted how I did lol. In any other circumstance I would have just laughed Ahah.

Are you going to Fallsview? I might see you at one of the tables if your there!
