sn1perb0y 2014 challenge

After completing my challenge in the winter holiday, I'm making a bigger challenge in this game called poker..Also some other life goals that i want to accomplish. Going into a new year with success is wonderful and hopefully more to come...

Surprise surprise... There is a small prop bet
Prop bet won't be for the whole year, yet it will be per 4 months/1 term so that it won't be long and boring..

Goals
-make 40k by 31st of december 2014
-loose 13 pounds every term
-Increase my GPA in Uni

Prop bet
-make $13333.33 by April 1st (only online MTTs)
-loose 13 pounds By April 13th

Prop bet will be 5$ and if i do not achieve BOTH goals ill be paying everyone 5$ :)
I bought a weight scale and will weigh myself tomorrow 13th April and post a pic (i'm not sure of my weight).
I will post graphs of how i am doing weekly and it will start with the winnings i already had since 1st of January.

this is my graph since 1st of Jan until 12h of Jan

  • Any advice, opinions are all appreciated

Also, the picture is very unclear, how can i get it clearer... Thanx :D
  • Regarding the pic, best to use an external host for better quality. I use tinypic its easy (and free)

Just upload your pic, then copy paste the one that says "forum code"

PS how did you end up doing at the MXM? You had a monster stack when I left (out in 7th..)

was expecting the 50k that im used to :D
  • I feel jamming here EP after an EP open raise is bad because his range is almost always dominating/flipping here although I've got less than 10bbs? is this a bad fold? yes i would of won the hand if i jammed but trying not to be results oriented..

  • With an M of less than 4, I'm shipping any pocket pair in this position. You are correct that the min raise by a short stack in early position screams monster, but it also means AK, AQ and in this case KQ. I'll take my chances that I'm flipping with such a short stack.
  • we should take into consideration that he can have pocket pairs higher 44s as much as him having big cards, AK,AQ,AJ,AT...Also there are players behind us that could have a hand no?

Ya, its one of those spots that I don't think there is a wrong answer. I don't hate a fold and I don't mind a shove either. With so few chips, we need to take shots when they arise, but I'd much prefer to be the first one in to the pot.

Having said that, we will get better hands to fold behind us as it has now gone raise, re-raise all in.
  • i'm assuming this hand is from a turbo as well which probably should factor into the equation a little bit.
  • So its been 4 months which went by super fast. I accomplished some goals but overall didn't reach what i really wanted.

-I did much much better in uni which took loads of my time and didn't allow me to play as much as i wanted, but i'm happy with my academic progress although i still need to do better.

-I reached 10k in earning from mtts which was a nice achievement for me.

-I won a seat to a live MTT, Montreal-playground in May which is great!

-I got my first 1st place win in an online MTT for 800$ which is nice since i always been a 2nd place or worse in tournaments.

-Played a total of 251 MTTs and ended with +$5607.35(including the montreal seat) I'm not sure if it is right to think of that as in earning if its just a seat (need your thoughts). Most of the 251 Mtts where hyper turbo/turbo sub sattys to the tcoop, live satellites etc.. because i didn't have time to play and grind regular tournaments so i took some shots instead on weekends if i had my seat.

-My weight is the same maybe a pound or two less so not much for that but will definitely be working on it in the summer!
  • nice work! 10k in earnings online is a hell of an achievement, well done.

edit: PS... you can ship my $5 to stars ID d0nkSTRIKER :):) (the 0 is a zero)
