Any decent poker rooms near Abbotsford?

So my daughter has decided to go to university out in Abbotsford and I was wondering which poker rooms would be decent to go to and which ones I should stay away from. I would be looking for some decent tourneys and play a little cash.

I don't really know of any in that area... Your closest option may be the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, or Cascades casino in Langley. Neither are super close to Abbotsford though... There is a new casino in Maple Ridge but I haven't been there nor do I know if it's any good.

Thanks for the input Tony. We live in Calgary and to get just about anywhere around here it takes at least 20min so when we are down there a 45min drive is nothing really for a little bit of gambling fun. My daughter has mentioned that some of her friends have been to the Cascades casino so that might be the first one I try.

From the main campus of University of the Fraser Valley you'd be looking at about forty minutes to Hard Rock and Maybe a little less than that to Langley. The casino in Langley is much further off the highway, whereas the Hard Rock is pretty much right next to it, hence the similar times
.
There's also Fraser Downs Race Track in Surrey which has a room and spreads games and tourneys daily.

Also, consider that if you go to the Hard Rock you'll be crossing the Port Mann bridge, which means tolls.

Where do you play in Calgary?

Used to play a bit at the Deerfoot Inn in some of their morning tourneys. Looking to do a little bit more playing at the casinos and am thinking of trying some of the Grey Eagle tourneys. I have done a few dealer's choice home games, but not very regular so I find it hard to work on my game. I want to try and set something up in the new year where I run a game every 4 weeks or so.
