Tournaments in January?

Thinking of taking some time off in January to go on a mini vacation.. Just wondering if there is any decent tournaments going on in January? Ontario/Quebec preferred. But might take an actual vacation too.

I'll probably be playing a lot of decent beatable tournaments in Ontario in January:

- Casino Brantford: Jan. 12, 20, 23 & 25 ($550 Deep Stack).
- Casino Rama and Great Blue Heron Casino.
- Woodbine, Mohawk, Western Fair or Georgian Downs Racetracks.
- Fallsview Poker Classic round-the-clock satellites, possibly taking advantage of hotel deals such as $89/night with over $200 in credits.

I'm up for anything on those dates, play,rail,stake/bap etc...

EDIT:Will pitch for Hotel and gas as well if needed or staying multiple days.

BF is nowhere near you. He's only about 30-45 min from Brantford..

Ahhh I see! Still looking for something to do on those days...

Im off the the 4th and 5th as well, but I don't know of any tourneys this week.

I'm not a big fan of the suggestions here. Playing a tournament on a Wednesday at Blue Heron or on electronic machines at Woodbine (might as well play online) doesn't scream "mini-vacation" to me. To get some bang for your buck and your time you're better off going somewhere that you can play in multiple tournaments.

Your best bet really is Playground Poker in Montreal or Foxwoods in CT where they have a nice tournament going in January I seem to recall. Even Seneca Niagara has a decent enough amount of tournaments that you could play in 3-4 tournaments in 2-3 days, plus play some cash if you wish to do so.

Just my 2 cents.

For those within driving distance of Thousand Islands Casino, they are having a four-event Winter Classic on February 6-9.
