Deerfoot is an older type poker room, it reminds me of Rama.
My favourite is Grey Eagle, the poker room is big and bright, the casino appears a bit newer than others.
When's the last time you were at Stampede? I was there a couple years ago, and it was very nice (most comfy poker chairs eva). Maybe confusing it with the Elbow (also downtown)?
Pretty sure both of those were shut down due to the flood.....but I assume they're going again by now.
That said, Grey Eagle is my preferred casino in YYC as well.
Grey Eagle is one of better for sure, evening & afternoon tournies get ok numbers too. They should have a few cash games going.
Elbow best if you want DC or Limit.
Regina cash games are great, should find a soft nitty 1/2 and some great FL mixed games. Usually a 10/20 or 15/30 DC and they love Omaha hi/lo. Only one room in town but always have a few tables going and some decent weekly events $100+, prob even an action rebuy

I'll be at the harvest classic in Regina if youre there (next weds-fri).
But its a dump. Avoid.
Avoid Cash Casino, if its even open still.

Unfortunately I will be in Regina on the 21-25 so it looks like Cash games only that week.
The Grey Eagle poker room was run by one of the Managers that started poker tournaments at GBH...anyone know if he is still there?
You should switch your dates.........
