I made my first trip to Mohawk today. The tournament was a sell out(20). Had a good time, nice group of players. Finished 7th after donating most of my stack in a blind vs blind play that I f#$k up. Oh well, other than that I was happy with my play. Decent structure, I'll be back for sure. FYI they are running Saturday's at 4pm and Sunday 2.

    Is Mohawk in Hamilton or Toronto?

    In Campbellville, north of both cities. It is probably the closest poker room for the most forumers, including me. If there are not enough rake-free home game satellites, Mohawk (or Woodbine) would be a great alternative to have a 4% rake satellite or SNG.

    I played at Mohawk last Friday and had a great time. I thought I would hat the video part but I didn't mind it after all. It took me a few orbits to remember to press the confirm button. I was only able to play for about three hours ( had to go back to work ). The table opened with five at 8 pm but it wasn't long after we had more. The players were friendly. I managed to have a bit of run good. Nice part is you seem to always have a hand even if you fold. I'm not sure what the hands per min was but it Is a lot higher than live for sure. I am going to start playing there more as well as a few friend that are going to start going too.
