My newest (and oldest) cash set - old school Reno chips made by TR King
I recently came back from a trip though California/Nevada that included a stop in Reno, to visit the site of the Riverside casino. We ate dinner in the restaurant that now exists in the former casino. The next morning we went back and took some pictures. After leaving Reno we drove down to Las Vegas, where I first picked up a new wooden case for my TR King set from ASM and then stopped into Spinetti's where I had some TRKs waiting for me.
Unfortunately some snafu's had me return to Canada to find that the last component to my set, 100 Jessie Beck's non-negotiable TRKs, turned out to be 1 TR King and 99 Paulson's, but that should soon be fixed.
So I present to you, chips from three different era's of the Riverside casino, plus another Reno Casino - The Nevada Club:
100 - non-negotiable Riverside Jessie Beck's, to be used for $.50, 1971-1978
Some interesting history on Jessie Beck
VA-164 Lady Jessie
200 - $1 Nevada Club, Reno, 1964
300 - $5 Riverside, 1963 -1971
20 - $100 Riverside, Pick Hobson's, 1978-1986
Will add more pron once I have the black chips replaced with all TRKs.
