  • The bad news is that the cash games will still be LIMIT only so most cash game players will remain at Woodbine/Niagara Falls. The good news is that the CNE Casino finally wants to have a big NO LIMIT tournament, which will have regular qualifiers. :cool2: Hopefully, this will get approved by the AGCO, unlike the return of the WPT to Fallsview, which got cancelled after PartyPoker prematurely posted the dates on its website. :arghh:

  • Yeah, I'm still staying well away from the CNE so long as the cash games continue to be limit-only games. One big NL tournament isn't going to get me to venture all the way down to the CNE.
  • You guys should learn to play more than one form of poker if you want to always have the option to play the softest game available.
  • I looked at my poker stats and saw that I have a higher ROI with Limit and Omaha games than NLHE, :confused2: so if the CNE tournaments are as juicy as the 4%-5% raked tourneys at Rama & OLG Slots, I'll dust off my old Limit book and play the CNE cash games while waiting for the next tournament. Maybe both Doo Doo The Clown and I will be at the CNE all summer long!

  • I'm glad to hear theres a tournament, I think I'm going to make it to this one. What do you expect the buy in to be?
  • All they need to do is get a new venue! The location now is awful to put it lightly. The WPT and any other respectable organization would never have their name brand trashed by the CNE.
  • I heard the figure $300. This sounds small as most CNE players bring more than that anyway. I don't think the CNE would want to have 400+ players to reach the $120,000 prize pool, so maybe it's for one of the satellites.

So likely $500+ then. Thanks BF
  • We've heard this story before.

I'll believe it when I see it.
