  • Assuming it starts with 15,000 chips, that $80+$20 tournament is better than most underground tournaments. Its disadvantage is the high 20% rake which is hard to beat so I won't be playing it. See July tournaments for even better tournaments with easier-to-beat low rake. For example, I plan to play in this Sunday's Deep Stack with only 4% rake and the $110+$20 Brantford tournament on July 22. Good luck.
  • Did any forumer play in today's $200+$30 Deep Stack? I was surprised how many players there were.

    Did it sell out?

Did you? How did it go? Interesting hands?
  • I bought my entry the morning after the Rama tournament & there were less than 10 seats sold! Two days later, I arrived at Brantford a little early, so I looked around for any forumers and there were three cash game tables going. When the Deep Stack was about to start, the tables had suddenly gone from near-empty to almost full. A few players said hello whom I haven't seen for up to 5 years and I did recognize a bunch of faces (non-forumers).

The $300+$30 Deep Stack I had cashed in had 58 players, with 30% lower rake and much better blind structure. I was pleasantly surprised that this $200+30 did sell out at 80 players. With all the recent tournaments selling out at Rama, Mohawk and now Brantford, maybe the tournament poker economy in the GTA is healthy after all. :wav:
