Upcoming Venetian deep stack tourneys

I am going to Vegas in a few weeks and along with a few WSOP's I plan to play the deep stacks at Venetian too.

On 11am events like the $400 and $500 tourneys do I need to register in advance or do they never sell out/cap? Fwiw these are all 1 day mtts

    Perfect! Thanks
  • Hmm checking this out as I am also heading to Vegas in a couple weeks... wanted to stay away from Tourneys down there as I'll have a limited roll down there and the taxes.. but that 250 bounty looks nice.
  • And the structures...and the weak fields....

You are correct. Since Black Friday, US poker tournaments continue to get tougher as many US online pros are forced to grind for their living during any tournament series. It is highly -EV to buy into a US tournament for almost all foreigners that are subject to the 30% withholding tax.

Canadians can have a higher ROI by saving their limited poker bankroll for any of the following tournaments in Canada with zero withholding:
WSOP Circuit Events in Vancouver and Montreal (24 WSOP Rings in 24 Days ); WPT Montreal (WPT bracelet + championship belt); Fallsview Poker Classic; Point Edward Blue Water Classic; Casino Brantford's 4 tournaments per week.

Smaller buy-in tourneys where you net under $5000 will not get taxed. Highly doubt anything but first will exceed that amount in a $200-$300 tourney.

Yeah, though the tax is only for winnings over 5k correct? That is a little better....maybe I could sell some of my action and play it... lol... maybe play some smaller tourneys around town where the withholding tax wouldn't come into play.. if I find some decent ones.

But yeah will only be down for 4 days... 800-900 I figure will be enough to play some poker and do some other things round town.
