My schedule is set to leave here May 1 or 2.
play $1000 event for sure and just to check the place out.

I never been to montreal before so for those who are familiar with playground and montreal city.

any hotels around playground? where should I stay?
also any place that is must see while i am there for 5-10 days?

also any tips for anything food, entertainment please post.

    No hotels worth while close to Playground. Stay downtown, it's only like a 15 to 20 minute drive.

    Food, just play cash and eat and drink for free.

    Can't really say anything for a must see, I am usually too busy playing poker. Just go explore downtown, you will find something interesting.

    be careful walking around. people driving in montreal don't like stopping for pedestrians (even when it's the pedestrian's right of way). i almost got hit a few times there ;)

    We stayed at the Westin downtown. A lot of players there with all the high rollers just down street at W. Right near old Montreal. Cab was $30 flat from club and there was also a few free player shuttles (greyhound sized) from PartyPoker and Playground.

    Not really a big architecture history guy, but the Notre Dame Basillica was a short walk away and simplybreath taking inside. It's really worth checking out and there are tons of 300 year old building that they just don't build like they used to in Montreal.

    Craftsmanship and detail can't be described and do justice.

    Not a lot of good options close to club but sure you can split cabs and stuff to stay downtown where the action is. Going to club was about $35-$40 bucks but lets ask Mike if shuttles again.

    Shuttles will be running from the Holiday Inn Midtown on all Day 1s and Day 2 of the WPT event. Otherwise taxis or driving is the way to go.

    thank you all for heads up. looking forward to this trip all alone.

    also planning a trip to vegas (fist time) may 17-21. attending a wedding and ofcourse casino's.

    but first thing is first. PLAYGROUND ON MAY 2.
