    nice!!
  • Has anybody else besides The_Game been playing the Brantford tournaments? Until PartyPoker realizes its blunder of alienating rake-paying regs in favour of freerollers, I'm thinking of returning to Brantford, the most +EV B&M casino for me. Almost all of the tournaments have a much higher rake than online of 13.3%-20%, so I'm wondering if there are still enough bad live players to beat the high rake and the much fewer number of hands compared to the high Patience Factor of the online tournaments I grinded.

Is anybody else thinking of playing the $1,090 and/or $500 events? Are there STT or other games worth playing after busting out of a tournament? I hate the extra rake of the Bad Beat Jackpot, especially in Limit games.

I've won the last two I played (BARG....admittedly over almost a year)....so yes, there are plenty of bad players there.

Note to self...get back to Brantford before BlondFish.

    Im there fairly often.

The fields are equally soft to GBH, if not worse. I play most of the monthly 550's.
  • I usually play the bigger tournaments $550 or $1090.
    over all weak field.
see you at the table blondfish.

  • I phoned Brantford about playing in tomorrow's tournament, but there are only 3 players registered! :o How many players usually end up on Tuesday nights? It'd be nice to see Wetts1012, The_Game & other forumers again, but not to play against in a one-table turbo with over 13% rake.

    Tuesdays cap at 40.

Thursdays / Sundays cap at 80 or 88.

    Tuesdays almost always cap.
  • Thanks for the replies. Do the $180 and other non-"Deep Stack" tournaments continue to have 20-minute levels and 10,000 starting chips? Is it only Limit HE cash games with no Omaha at Brantford?

I wouldnt waste the gas money for anything $125 and under thats not a deepstack.

The structure of the non-deepstacks isnt great, but for the $150+, the field softness compensates.

They dont spread Omaha, Im not sure the dealers there could deal with that....
