Format: Freezeout
Stack: 15,000 chips
Blinds: 25 minutes
Payout: 2-5 players 1st 100%, 6-8 players 1st 65% 2nd 35%, 9-17 players 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20%, 18-27 players 1st 50% 2nd 25% 3rd 15% 4th 10%.

The Season Format: The season will consist of 10 games and will be a mix of low/mid and higher level buy ins and will be held on occasional weekday evenings, weekend nights and weekend days, this is to ensure that everyone has a chance to come out and play regardless of skill level, work schedule, poker bankroll etc. There will also be a mix of freezeout/rebuy-addon and deepstack tournaments. This season will have a final tournament of champions that requires players to qualify throught the season in order to play in it. There will also be a points system that is used towards the final tournament of champions as well. Each game also has a +$5 or +$10 and this is paid to OAPL to cover costs of running the league ex. Cards, chips, food and drink, tables, chairs, website etc. Each game will have drinks and food provided, either chips or pizza or alike.

Payouts: 2-5 players 1st 100%, 6-8 players 1st 65% 2nd 35%, 9-17 players 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20%, 18-27 players 1st 50% 2nd 25% 3rd 15% 4th 10%.
Late Players/No Shows: Any player who has confirmed and is registered for an event will have their chips placed on the table and blinded out until they arrive. No Shows or players not informing OAPL of their inability to make the tournament will receive a No Show badge and will be required to pre-pay for future events. Each player will have until 2 hours before the start time to inform OAPL of their inability to not make it without being badged as a No Show. If a player has subsequently made it out to 4 straight games after being badged a no show, having prepaid and shown up for 4 games, the no show badge will be lifted and no longer have to prepay for each game.

Location: All games will be held at Alex’s place in Brampton unless otherwise stated and is located close to the intersection of Airport rd and Sandalwood pkwy. Address will be given out to confirmed members. This is a personal residence and should be treated as such, respect of my house and property is essential as I do this for the love of poker and don’t want to fix damages etc for being a host.

Cash Games: These will be rake free games and will only be held on weekend events, either daytime or night time tournaments and will start once one table is free for play and enough players are willing to play. Stakes played can be as low as .50/1.00 or as high as 2/4 and will be at the discretion of the players involved

The Tournament of Champions: The final tournament will be a restricted event to only those that have qualified and will have a progressive prize pot that is accumulated throughout the season. The seasons 10 games will have 10% of the prize pool set aside for the tournament of champions. The final tournament will be a freezeout with a starting stack of 10k chips and blinds of 25 mins. In order to qualify for the final tournament you must have played in a minimum of 4 season games. For the tournament of champions, there is a buy in of $10+$10 and will have an additional $10 added on to your buyin fee for every game missed in the season up t a maximum of 6 games and $60. The maximum buyin for the tournament of champions will be $80. The player at the end of the regular season with the most amount of points will receive an absolutely free buyin to the final tournament as their prize for finishing first in the league.

Points System : Players will receive points at every game, regardless of position and buy-in but additional points will be calculated based on a points system that relies on the amount of players, the amount of buy in and the final finishing place of the players. All players will receive minimum points at every game and additional points will be given to those players who made the cash. Paying positions will be based on the amounts of players in the tournament. Each 20 points accumulated during the season will be worth $25 in tournament chips and will be added to your final stack at the tournament of champions.
Points will be calculated as follows:
$25 + $5 games
Each player receives a minimum of 10 points.
1st – 100
2nd – 80
3rd – 60
4th – 40
$50 +$10 and $70+$10 games
Each player receives a minimum of 20 points
1st – 140
2nd – 120
3rd – 100
4th – 80
