If you get the free shipping (combine with another book order) they'll tell you it takes up to a week. In my experience maybe 2-4 days. At least with amazon.ca.
You will be hard-pressed to absorb something new in a few days. These things take time and application to sink in. My advice would be to stick with the books you have already read on NL tourneys and re-read and really think about the concepts you may not already be applying.
One way to make sure you make the right choice is to simply order the book from both places. When you receive the email that the first copy has shipped, cancel the other order. If you're unlucky enough that both orders get shipped without you having the chance to cancel one, then you can return one of the copies. Returns to Amazon.ca are certainly a pain since you have to ship them yourself, but you can return a Chapters online order to a B&M store.

I was getting a little concerned.
There is an option to pay for shipping and you get it much quicker.
Rob.
I think Harrington is only available sporatically from Amazon.ca. Not available at Chapters.indigo. Not available at the bookstores. You can also get it from Amazon.com, they seem to have it in stock, but shipping will take longer.
Chugs - if it doesn't look like you'll get it in time and you need to borrow my copy, let me know. (I just want my TPFAP back! )
hork.
Given a choice I'd go with amazon.ca. But as mentioned this particular book is still not available at chapters.ca
chapters.ca used to have excellent shipping times when they had their deal with Canada Post, but when that was up their shipping became excruciatingly slow for a period of time. They seemed to have improved that significantly however.
The Amazon.ca website is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. More information, better search, recommendations, etc.
Got confirmation email Mon Mar 7 from Chapters that my books were shipped. Express post. Checked today, tracking says 'shipping details electronically submitted'.
Got confirmation email Tues Mar 8 from Amazon that my books were shipped. Expedited parcel. Checked today, tracking says same as Chapters PLUS 'received/processed at sortstation'.
So far, I'm giving the advantage to Amazon but only slightly. I'll let you know which one gets here first. Mind you, I think Chapters return policy is a bit friendlier.
Jeff Bezos and Heather Reisman, I hope you are paying attention. There is a lot riding on this.
didn't get much time, but i've read a bit from the dan harrington book and wow i think the book said some simple yet obvious things beyond sklansky that i hope pay for the book.
one of the key things ... don't just think about how you're playing, what's more important is how are other people perceiving it ... you had three monster hands in a row, do they think you're stealing. how should you adjust, for this adjustment in their perception ... a lot more in terms of understanding what the others at the table are thinking about you, long term and short term (last few hands)
I give a big edge to amazon.ca for site, selection (except Super System 2  ), price and shipping. Chapters gets the edge for ease of returns. (I haven't bothered to return a book yet, though...)
In this case, amazon.ca was a day late and a dollar short.
