Largest Comeback's Ever

I was just wondering what the largest online comeback was...has anyone been down to 0.10 and made it up to $500?

The most recent one I can recall was when I had about $5 leftover and turned it into a decent sized bankroll, i think it was around $100.

  • Depends on the size of the blinds I guess.
  • I put my last 9+1 into some party qualifier got 3rd, missed the cut but won 90 or so. played a bunch of sngs and got it up to 300 or so. then nl cash got that to 550
  • Do freeroll tourneys count? lol Quite awhile ago (almost 2 years) I played in one and was down to 400 chips at one point. Hours later was up to 70,000, and the lead.

That tournament taught me to never give up until ALL my chips were gone. :)
  • While it wasn't my entire online bankroll.

I did manage on one glorius week to turn the about 20ish sitting in my pacific account into $2500. I did proceed to lose 5-600 of that. It was a crazy week, that in the course of the first day went from 1/2 to 2/4, the second day ended at 5/10 and before the week was out 10/20.

I don't usually even now play at that level online, but sometimes you get relative lightning in a bottle, that was it for me
  • I turned a $10 BR on .25/.50 NL into a grand on the prima netwoek (7S and RVP) before cashing out and moving onto PP PS and Paraside Poker
  • $50 to $2500 on pacific
$15 into $850 at the casino
  • $8.00 to $2500, on Paradise 3 years ago. It took 1.5 years. It isn't really as good as it sounds. I lost it all in two months and then took a break for three months. It was a real cross-roads for me. After that I was a much stronger player and built $50 bucks into 3300 in about 4 months.

    Cheers

  • i turned my last $1 into about $300 and counting. Started playing .01 and .02 NL.
  • I'm not sure it counts as a comeback, but I started my online bankroll by winning $12 in the high-hand jackpot on UB while playing at the play-money tables. That was about 3 years ago, I think, and I've never played online with money other than what I won from that initial $12. I don't play a lot (maybe 10-15 hrs / month on average), but I've managed to work my initial deposit of $0 up to around $4K.
  • This past summer at The Blue Herron casino i bought in to a 5/10 game for 250 was all-in with 10 5 soooted on the BB with my last 15$ ,then proceeded to win +750 the next 4 hours :)
  • I had .50, and built it into $847 in one week... mind you I barely left the house lol
  • $36 to 45K USD playing shorthanded online poker for 3 or 4 months. Story has been told so many times that you're all bored of it. Couldn't resist though.

Like gidders, I left the computer to go to work, and to go to the bathroom. Eventually I said to myself: "I can't keep doing both. Am I professional poker player (ie: am I going to quit my job) or am I going to seriously reign myself in and play less poker regardless of how good I'm running".

The story ends with me making less from poker, but enjoying other things in life; for example, having one.
  • nothing BIG but good for me

turned 3 dollars into 60 at pacific and then 10 into 110 at paradise.
  • I was down to 50c and worked it to ~$400 back in October. Quite a fun ride...

Aces...i've been trying to find this thread but couldn't locate it (yes i did a search, but you've posted over 3 million times so it is impossible to find...only the most recent 30 000 posts or so are brought up). Can you post a link by any chance?

    Thanks,
