Seneca Casino Trip Report
88Fingers and I made a trip to the Seneca Casino on Thursday night in Niagara falls NY. I have to say I liked this place before I even sat down to play. Nice big room, lots of tables, virtualy no wait for games or cashier window. its nowhere near the casino which is a big bonus. We arrived there at 1am and 88fingers got a seat right away at 1/2 NL, I had a smoke and my seat was ready too. I sat down with $100 USD being my first time at a NL table. Table was pretty loose at first, I didnt play any hands for about 30 minutes till I got dealt AA in MP. I raised to $15 got 2 callers, flop was rags with 2 hearts. Player 1 bet $15, 2nd folded, I made it $30 and then player1 went all in for more then I had. I thought about it for about 30 seconds and called. He flips over AQ hearts, I thought my night was done right there, turn blank, river no help and I double up. I got to say "all in " 3 more times during the night and I won each time taking 3 people off the table. I ended the night with $320 in my pocket. Could of been more but I think I played a bit too tight for my first NL session.
Overall the room is great, its obvious they have been open for a while and got things running nicely. Only thing I wasnt sure about is the session fee, which is $5 every 30 minutes. I never played with a session fee so I dont know if thats normal or high.
I will definately be back there to play NL before I go to Fallsview. Its only 3 minutes more to drive over, parking is free, so is the booze . the toll on the bridge is only $3.50. Well worth the extra time.
cheers

Ya I think the session fee is new (I was there in Jan and they didnt have it). I find its a bit steep, but the thing is they dont take a rake. They basically are making $10 more/hour. The rake used to be $3/hand x 30 hand/hour = $90/hour. Now they collect $5/half hour x 10 players= $50/half hour
Not sure what I like better...basically gives more money to the winners.
I agree definitely worth the drive!! I'm from toronto...so thats 1.5 hours for me.
I had a fun night - not a profitable one - but a fun one. I will be back!
