Can I make a printer available to other people when the printer doesn't have an Ethernet plug to plug into a router and it only has one usb port in the back? Epson c1700.
you should be able to make it shared on the network but the computer that is connected to will have to be on of course... There are some entry level printers however that don't allow the driver to work across the network, usually I can get them to work by installing the printer software on the remote system and rigging up the port driver to print remotely but it can be difficult or tricky...
Network printers are so little more that I always recommend them now however.
