Aces Blunder but...

$1/$1 game, just sat with $80 and pick up aces Utg +1. Utg had super straddled to $4 so I decide to try to induce another bet by raising to $8.

Does not go well as 6 players call and nobody raises. It's a loose aggresive game but my plan had gone to shit.

Flop is sopping wet with 10h10d9h. I groan inside but decide to make it $26. I figure that ill get a read or reraised. Nobody seems eager or hollywooding, two players tank call. If someone had reraised I might fold.

I hate it but push turn. Late position calls with 88 but I hold for $215 pot.

It was the whiny beat that amazingly didn't happen and really should have so now it's a brag!

    I don't mind analysis...why?

I had my read, turn was brick, I can't really let anyone peel and I am 80% sure I am miraculously still winning...

    What would you do?

I Feel like u played your hand face up... Given the way u described it.. And we know that's true given u got 88 to call off lol (you probably never shove turn if u actually have a T ;) )

C bet is fine, I like it... I'm a bit more passive so I would slow down on turn because its multi way , but thats me :)

U had ur read and went with it and got all da chippies. Nh sir
  • Still confused. Agree, I am telling people I likely don't have ten with shove. But played face up is a bit vague? Why would 88 call off to AA?

I am only saying I don't have a ten and hate board.

I hate my pre flop play on this, but if I narrowed callers max I get is prob $240 pot.
  • Face up meaning u didnt have a T

And how can u hate your play pre? U juiced the pot with aces in a 1/1 game! :)
  • Meh seems pretty standard, you start with 80 on the flop you are left with 46 and the pot is 100. After your flop bet of 26 you have basically signified that you are shipping all turns so technically speaking anyone with a 10 on that flop is re-raising as they know you can't fold.

88 calls as it looks like you are shoving some sort of combo draw on the turn. Its more of a hero call at best but then at the same time its 1/1 and he was probably thinking you were bumhunting the table and making a move on a wet board trying to over rep your hand, fortunately for you, you had a hand and weren't bluffing as most shoves on the turn are based on that board.

As played the only thing I change is the bet pre but I understand what you were trying to do and I have been victim to that myself. But I find in lower limit games people don't steal or squeeze as often. Most players are content to see the flop unless they have a hand.

lmao playing your hand face up would mean you only get called by better, and never get called by worse....

but hey at least now you learned something today.
