No-Limit Hold'em Tournament
Wednesday, Nov 7th - 7:00pm
(doors open at 6:30pm)

$20 Buy-in Freeze-out - 32 player max.

$$$ Pay-out $$$
1st place - 45%
2nd place - 25%
3rd place - 15%
4th place - 10%
5th place - 5%
(Note: Top 4 payout with less than 24 players, Top 3 with 16 or less)

Each player will receive 10000 chips for their $20 buyin. You are
eliminated from the tourney when you lose all your chips. The tourney
will not stop, except for short breaks, until one player holds all the
chips. That player will be declared the 1st place finisher. The last
player eliminated will be the 2nd place finisher, the second last
player eliminated will be the 3rd place finisher, etc..

Late players: If you know you're going to be late, please phone and a
seat and chips will be set out for you and you will post blinds and
fold until you arrive. Players that are late that haven't let me know
will give up their seat to the next player on the waiting list. If
there's no one left on the waiting list, late players may buy into the
tournament during the first two levels (40 minutes), but must immediately
post the big and small blind if the blinds have passed them.

Waiting List players: Players on the waiting list will fill no shows
at the start of the tournament to a maximum of 32. The remaining
players on the waiting list are alternates. During the first four
levels, when a player busts out, you have the option of joining the
tournament at that point with a starting chip stack.

The tournament will last approximately 5-6 hours. Seating is limited
to 32 players with alternates. (8 max tables) Please reserve your seat
in advance!! The final table will form with 8 players left.

  • Who took it down? When I left (4th), DrTyore had a massive stack against TwoThree and Shtebs. Mark probably had about 70-80% of the chips in play at that point.

TwoThree was likely the biggest winner on the night since he hit quad aces for a fairly big high-hand jackpot (about $170 I think).
  • It was a crazy tournament, and in the end it was DrTyore defeating TwoThree heads up to earn the title of 2012 Ante-Up Champion, earning a spot in the GRAND FINALS!

TwoThree, in addition to getting second place, also hit the Quad Aces highhand jackpot for $139, so it was an excellent night for him too!

For his win, Mark catapulted into 8th overall in the Player of the Year race, while TwoThree gets on the board with his first points of the season.

Shtebs, our third place finisher, also cracks the Top 10, jumping from 16th to 7th.

Ranger, rounding out the money finishers in 4th place, picks up another solid point gain, placing him comfortably in 3rd place on the PoY charts! Any win for Ranger will put him in the lead, while a second place with a large enough field may also do it!

Our bubble-boy was getem76, playing in his first event of the season.

Meanwhile, in the Player of the Year race, Kanga is still 4 points of ahead of Peteski. While Peteski made the points bubble, it wasn't enough points to increase his score (we only use the Top 4 point values to determine PoY points.)

With only a couple events left to play in the season, the title of Player of Year is still up for grabs!
