Bristol St. presents "The 2012 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship" TUES, Oct 23rd, 7pm
Next up, on the 2012 Bristol Street calendar, one of the more popular non-hold'em format games!
Each player will receive 5000 chips for their $20 buyin. You are
eliminated from the tourney when you lose all your chips. The tourney
will not stop, except for short breaks, until one player holds all the
chips. That player will be declared the 1st place finisher. The last
player eliminated will be the 2nd place finisher, the second last
player eliminated will be the 3rd place finisher, etc..
Late players: If you know you're going to be late, please phone and a
seat and chips will be set out for you and you will post blinds and
fold until you arrive. Players that are late that haven't let me know
will give up their seat to the next player on the waiting list. If
there's no one left on the waiting list, late players may buy into the
tournament during the first two levels (40 minutes), but must immediately
post the big and small blind if the blinds have passed them.
Waiting List players: Players on the waiting list will fill no shows
at the start of the tournament to a maximum of 32. The remaining
players on the waiting list are alternates. During the first four
levels, when a player busts out, you have the option of joining the
tournament at that point with a starting chip stack.
The tournament will last approximately 5-6 hours. Seating is limited
to 32 players with alternates. (8 max tables) Please reserve your seat
in advance!! The final table will form with 8 players left.
Blind schedule, chip values, rules, etc, etc, will be posted in the thread beneath this.
As always, tournaments at Bristol Street are rake-free!!

BTW Rob I would love to see an ante-only NLH event in future at Bristol, like the new event this year at the WSOP:

Tentatively unfortunately.
Landing as our bubble-boy, was Bristol St. first time player, Matt S. While his brother played Magic with me on Table 3, Matt just barely missed cashing in his first Bristol St. event.
Taking home a min cash, was a long time player we've not seen at the felt in a while, "Ionstorm" Ian! Great to have you back at Bristol.
Arriving with the Matt and Larry contingent, another newcomer, GregP managed third place money with an excellent deep run!
With two players left it was Bristol St. regular Kanga, vs newcomer Maz, playing in only his second tournament at Bristol St.
When the dust settled, Kanga held all the chips along with 1st place money and enough Player of the Year points to move her just 4 points ahead of Peteski, into first place over all. With just a few events remaining in 2012, it's coming down to a battle of Peteski v. Kanga, but any of the next 5-7 players, with a win, will be in the thick of things with them!
Maz, having played two tournament, final tabled both, and earns a 2nd place tonight moving him to 12th place in overall standings!
Our next event will be our very first Ante-Up Tournament! Look for the announcement very soon!!
