Any forum members interested in playing some poker in Vancouver during these dates? Have to drive to the border and re-enter the US to import my truck.
nonononono . . . that isn't how the game is played. You're supposed to arrange the meet, then go to a different bar with a burn phone (after providing the number of course). When he texts, you make something up about traffic, and tell him 20 minutes. Then it's the "resto-switch", and on and on and on.

I'm booked and handed...Oct 18-22 downtown. If anyone knows of any decent tournies over those dates let me know...will likely play some cash games over the weekend while waiting for my passport renewal, etc.
Have never played poker in Vancouver -- I know there is one casino right next to False Creek, is that the place to play cash? Anything else downtown? I won't be bothered to leave the area just to play poker.

Hey GTA,
Edgewater casino as mentioned, is the place downtown just off false creek. It's the only room in Vancouver proper. They're your best bet if you're looking for 1/2, 2/5 or PLO games. Actually, given the short time you're in town I'd say just stick it out there if you're staying in the city.
Villa Casino in Burnaby has a newish room, which is where all the 4/8 limit with kill games have gone, and all the no limit games are 1/2.
River Rock casino in Richmond should have a steady 2/5 game going and they are easily accessible by skytrain.
I don't play any of those games cause I have a Vancouver mortgage, a daughter, and I suck at poker.
Good luck to you when you're here. If you post about where you're playing when you're here and I'll try to pop by to rail.

Thanks for all the info. I'm not even certain if I'll play at all when I'm there but it's nice to know where to go if I do play. I think Edgewater should be walking distance from my hotel.
